ENGAGING YOUNG PEOPLE

Young people are the land managers of the future, yet Mount Roland Land Care has very few young members at present. We see this as a problem! We are taking steps to actively address this by introducing family and young person membership categories, and allowing young people over 12 to vote and to be elected to the Committee. The local Cub Scouts have joined us at Tree Planting days and we aim to develop this relationship further.
More broadly, the group will soon establish a sub-committee to strategically plan ways to engage young people. If you have enthusiasm and skills in this area we'd love to hear from you!
